About PTPTN Loans

Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) provides education financing for Malaysian students pursuing higher education at local institutions.

Repayment

Repayment begins 12 months after graduation or course completion. The minimum payment is RM50 per month. Borrowers can also opt for salary deduction through employers or set up auto-debit.

Interest / Ujrah Rate

Current PTPTN loans charge 1% ujrah (administrative fee). Older loans may carry rates of up to 3%. The government periodically offers discounts for early or lump-sum repayment.

Discount Incentives

PTPTN periodically offers 10-20% discounts for full settlement or consistent repayment. Check the PTPTN website for current promotions.
